GLOBAL AYYAPPA MAHA SANGAMAM
(BHAVANAM SANNIDHANAM)
Global Ayyappa Maha Sangamam (virtual and physical meetings) will be conducted on 8th November, 2020 from 11.00 am to 12.30 Noon at all District centres in Kerala and major cities in other parts of the country, with major programs at Pandalam (Kerala), Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Further, similar programs are conducted at hundreds of cities and villages throughout the country, simultaneously.
Sabarimala pilgrimage during the ensuing mandala makara vilakku season, with the mandatory rituals and traditions related to it, will not be possible due the super spread of Covid 19 pandemic. As per the decision of Kerala Government Sabarimala pilgrimage is allowed for public, but with many restrictions under Covid protocol like No Neyyabhishekam, No bath at pampa river (pampa-snanam), closing down of traditional Neelimala route for trekking, No permission for Guruswamies of age 60 years and above etc. Further, Arrival of many devotees from different places at Sabarimala may aggravate the situation leading to super spread and with this if any priest at sannidhanam gets affected with Covid, the most unfortunate situation of Closure of the Temple may happen !!! Hence, as a mass awareness programme, Sabarimala Ayyappa Seva Samajam has organised virtual Ayyappa Maha Sangamam at global level with the active participation of other Hindu organisations, Pandalam Palace, Alangattu Ambalappuzha Petta Sanghams and Sanyasis. Shri. SJR Kumar (National Vice Chairman) is co-ordinating the whole program.
Most revered Acharyas, Guruswamies, Sages, Heads of Mutts and top leaders of Hindu organisations like Poojya Swamy Chidanadapuri, Swamy Ayyappadas, Pandala Raja, Sarvasree Kummanam Rajasekharan, T.B. Sasikala Teacher, Akkeeraman Kalidasan Bhattathirippad, Shivaram Guruswamy, Veeramani Raju… are expected to participate in these functions and explain the present situation and advise not to venture out for Sabarimala pilgrimage during the ensuing mandala makara vilakku season, instead advise to consider our home as Sabarimala. Bhavanam Sannidhanam : All Ayyappa devotees, along with family members are advised to observe the 41 day Mandala Vrutham strictly and pray daily with saranaghosham, pooja and bhajans at own homes or nearby temples, considering our Homes as Sannidhanam – Bhavanam Sannidhanam, And for the blessings of Swamy Ayyappa for a Covid- Free world, facilitating an easy pilgrimage next year.
