Ayyappa Seva Kendra (ASK) is a facility for Sabarimala pilgrims run by SASS at designated locations in the southern states. Currently there are 5 permanent ASKs around the Sabarimala precincts. SASS proposes to establish 10 more permanent ASKs at border transit points from the neighboring states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. In addition, SASS local units establish seasonal ASKs at vantage points along the pilgrim route.
Typically ASKs have the following facilities:
- Annadana Kendra (free food; breakfast, lunch, dinner, herbal coffee, medicated water)
- Dormitory Facility for male and female pilgrims
- Toilets and Bathrooms with running water
- Emergency medical care
- Emergency vehicle breakdown assistance
- Stretcher facility
Usually ASKs operate from 8 AM to 9 PM, 7 days a week during the pilgrimage season. Please locate the ASK nearest to you in the below map.
